Well from what i have played so far i dont think so.Menus are generic,vehicles dont drive well and the worst of all is the same ol EA BS.Load 2 clips of ammo into someone and they run away.I was in a tank and fired some rounds at people and nothing,they run away.COD rules over this game anyday of the week.

These are my impressions of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 after two days of.. "playing" this game.
- Play Now. Loading.
- Enter game. Run around for 10 seconds. Kicked: No reason given.
- Play Now. Loading.
- Enter game. Run around for 10 seconds. Kicked: No reason given.
- Play Now. CANNOT CONNECT TO EA SERVERS. PLEASE TRY AGAIN LATER.
- Wait a half an hour.
- Play Now. Loading.
- Get into a game that has autobalance turned off. I'm on the side that has 5 vs 15 [literally]. Lose.
- Play Now. Loading.
- Get into a properly balanced game. Have fun. Doing really good. Right at the end of the match.. LOST CONNECTION TO EA SERVERS.
- I sigh, but shrug. Then I notice that none of the experience I gained during that match carried over from disconnection. WTF.
- Play Now. Loading.
- Enter game. Run around for 10 seconds. Kicked: Punkbuster failed to initialize. [Seriously, * PB, stop using that crap and go with VAC.]
- Play Now. Loading.
- Enter game. Run around for 10 seconds. Kicked: No reason given.
- Repeat the above note SIX TIMES IN A ROW. Literally six times in a row, join a server and kicked repeatedly.
If there's one thing I've realized from this, I've grown to appreciate the effort Infinity ward has put in their server infrastructure. At least I can play the damn game.
Also, you guys need better forum software, I can't type for crap in this. Will post more criticism in a reply.

wow, if you don't like it then don't play it.
There really isn't anything wrong with the game, who cares about menu's I mean I only use them to get into the game.
Play Now ? wow, why ? Just get on a clan server and your good, don't go randomly select a server and expect it to be a good experience. You need to search the good servers out, same is true with any game.
If you want a good server, then try the legionatwar servers, they are well admined (sp?), and they play fair.
I played last night with Rock, and I played for 4 + hours and didn't get disconnected once, and if it takes two mags to bring a guy down then you have more problems than the game. I can easily drop two or three guys with one mag.
I don't know if the poster you quoted realizes there was a day 1 patch that fixed the connectioin issues.
The only thing I don't like about the game are the people who have not fucking skill and resort to the 40mm grenade launcher as their primary weapon, I mean get some fucking skill and learn to use other weapons.
Or all of the snipers, fuck I hate snipers.
Other than that, I love it. But I can't wait for BF3 !! |

My point is a company as big as EA is should not be having server browser issues.They beta tested this thing and they had the same issues as the 1st day of the beta release.That tells me they didnt fix a damn thing.I dont think the game is all that bad but to have the issues they are having is ridiculous.Of coarse the game is going to have some bugs but people not even being able to play the game for 2 or 3 days after release is just crap.I dont care what anyone says EA knows how to stick to people and to be honest with you, they dont really care.They ran out and bought up the Nascar rights and produced 1 game for the Pc that sucked ass.After that they turned to console releases and that was it for Pc gamers.I am not a big EA fan and never will be.
As far as the above quote,of coarse they are going to say that.Activision is by far a better company than EA.

I agree EA sucks, but Dice is the one working on this game and they are giving it alot of attention right now, they want to fix it. Dice wasn't given a very big budget so I think they are doing a pretty good job.
I was able to play it right out of the box and it keeps getting better. I had connection issues until I downloaded the day 1 patch.
BF2 had the same issues and 4 1/2 years later people are still playing it, I know because I was playing it just before BC2 released.
Compare that to CoD 2 that came out aprox 6 months later than BF2 and how many people are playing that ? Probably just the so called pro gamers that bunny hop and hip shoot with scoped rifles.
I stopped playing BF2 shortly after release because of all of the bugs and because CoD 2 came out. But there really isn't anything else to play right now.
Activision just pumps them out because people get bored with them so fast, I know I did.
Its ironic that you are so upset with EA for screwing up Nascar games because they didn't care for the PC gamer, and yet you have activision screwing up and taking so much away from the Call of Duty series and from PC gamers yet thats not a big deal.
Where are the dedicated servers and mod support ?
Which leads me back to the quote. I only posted it because every story I read is that PC gaming is dying and that there are more console gamers and PC sales are dwindling. Yet you have a developer from Dice saying there are more PC gamers playing right now that console gamers.
It just made me lol, PC gaming is not going to die.
